I`m sorry to post so much but i had to show a cat model i made , i know it`s simple and it isn`t to good , but i`m new at moddeling , and i`m learning so i don`t think it`s that bad at all. (it`s atleast MY[u][i] work

I`l post an .3ds or .x file when i "texture" it (not sure what kind of textures should i use for that kind of model)

, so what do you think ?

yeah i decided to try to begin to be "normal" guy , this model is made out of pure primitives , but it might be good for a cartoon -like game or something like that .

Well youve posted the cat model before. I would suggest deleting the bottom faces of the legs so that you don't get those ugly artifacts. I think the tracks on the tank have to be bigger, and its really just all primitives. Its a good start tho. Give it a good texture and it should look tons better. Also have the gun inside the turret isntead of sittin on top of it.

Im sick of Master Chief soo...ooga booga!!
Explain to me why some people pay money for 3d software? Its not 3d till its been blended. wwww.blender3d.org

I`m making a copy of gun (not real gun like uzi,mp5...) becouse so everyone can use it (including me) without thinking of license and stuff like that..

:\ dodic with a gun? no license? :\

Those are a good start, try doing some tutorials with the modelling program your using. It will give you alot of good skills.

the gun...

has no trigger, just a trigger gaurd, which is a little big.

also try tilting the handle a little bit like in the picture of the mp5.

overall good start, but again try doing some tutorials.

The Chair looks good I think.

The MP5 reference wasn't ment that you should model one. You just have to see how it looks right.

@DarkBasic MAD. There is no need to keep dragging up the past like that. I don't know exactly what you're talking about but if it's the face of beauty contest then Dodic never claimed that model was his and he has also explained why he used it. Why can't you just comment on the model he wants you to comment on and leave it at that.

@Dodic new inproved
I think the chair's quite good. If you showed it to someone and asked them what it was they'd be able to tell you straight away, which can't be bad. I don't know much about modelling but I know that if you concentrate on the simpler objects (like the chair) then you will gradually improve, getting to know the 3d software better and better, before moving onto more complicated models. Good luck.

Thanks to all of you

@soapyfish : I can`t say i dissagre , i`l be concentrating on simpler objects for start , objects out of primitives with maby slight face or vertex adjustments , or just out of scaled boxes and spheres.

@IceCube : I`l try to make my gun a bit better ..

The futuristic model contest was the contest I held before the face of beauty contest, DBMad try to enter a model from turbosquid, I think Klu was mocking him to support soapy fishes point about DBmad digging up the past

I believe Soapy and Klu were sticking up for you lol, but okay, we'll get back to topic.

I'd like to say this is a good start to modelling, hopefully you will be able to elaborate from primitive ands distortions/extrusions with primitives

I'm sure everyone starts off not knowing how to do much more than simple modifications. It's sticking at it that makes the difference. By the way, you might have answered this somewhere esle but what modelling app are you using?
