I have made a very simple low poly sword tutorial. It has images and step by step instructions. Enjoy.

sweet . I dont use wings, but thats pretty much a universal tutorial you have there. Very nice and the swords dont end up looking too bad either eh?

The sword you ended up with on your tutorial looked more like a roman centurian sword, whilst Oggas turned out more 14-1500's medieval/knight sword. Just goes to show you that this tutorial is well rounded and suites about any modelling app do to the commmands it utilizes.

good work can't wait to see more!

As you may have seen if you went to the tutorials page, I will have a Hand and Gun tutorial coming out. (I must admit that the Sword tutorial is my best and favorite one though) And I am also working on a message board that will be used for any discussions relating to 3D modeling. Go me, I'm on a roll!

You made a great tutorial ! (i just read it) , aldo i`m not using wings 3d , (i`m using jtedit) i gave it a shot , and i CAN NOT belive the resoults , (this is also my first uvw textured model - with one texture file containing all textures (one bmp file to be exact..))

ok here are some screenshots :

I know it`s nothing special , but i actually made that in about minutes after reading the tutor ! two minutes really !

p.s. ok i admit i didn`t make them EXACLTY like in the tutor , but i made my version i thought would fit best.

Hmm.. better than the sword I've made last year, but never bother to texure it by the way. I've made a japanese samurai style sword though. It took me awhile to get that curvy look on the sword cuzt he sword wasn't a straight look like the one you had.

As soon as I get a bit of free time I'll have a crack at this. There's something similar for blender (universal tut as OddMind said) but it's great to find one for Wings aswell. I was going to get to grips with blender, but after seeing how much simpler the wings UI is I'm thinking of a quick change of apps and this looks like the perfect inroduction. Gives me an excuse to practice my texturing aswell, top stuff.

EDIT::
@ Frozen Flame
I don't see any reason why you still can't.

EDIT 2::
Ignore that last edit, just seen your thread.

I'm glad this has helped, I'll be making a new thread about a Hand Tutorial once I upload it. I still have yet to learn how to UV Wrap and make textures, so I'll have to get to that one of these days.
