How do i make a good textatur?
And how do i get it on to the model?

I all ways where a flame secured armor and my shotgun... Just in case

Well first you can take a picture of an object (table,chair , whatever you want) , but take picture of MATERIALS in object (like the woodenen part , other parts...)

And edit it a little to be as more repetable (seemles) as you can in programs like : Gimp (free) , Adobe Photoshop (not close to free..)


Then you can get your texture into model using uvw (lite uvw is the program you need) or just add it onto the model without uvw using your program .

P.S WHAT MODELING PROGRAM DO YOU USE ? (so i can give you more infos)

A lot of people here use a free program called LithUnwrap for their texturing. There's also a free paint program called Gimp that you could use for actually drawing the textures.

nope you said to take a picture of what they want, soapy was saying how to make the textures through drawing, which most people use and is more efficient

Here's a tutorial for putting a texture onto your model. It was originally made for milkshape and lithunwrap but hopefully you'll still find some use for it.
