Ok, I am making a game that has quite a few urban levels. So what I need is a wall that looks similar to the ones in Battlefield2:modern combat. Whoever does this for me will be thanked in the credits and will recieve a free copy of the game and all the expansion packs to it ( I plan to have quite a few).
The game really has no storyline (kinda like Quake), it takes place in the near future, and you basically go online and kill each other in Deathmatch games.

Here's a .gif preview. Hope you like! If you want any others, just let me know!

Oh, BTW, just put "Chancey Software Graphic Design" in the credits. And you can put "www.chanceysoft.com" on there if you like, but you don't have to.

compgeek13@yahoo.com. And I'm a bit of a noob myself, so I don't know. BUt it IS in tga form, so in theory I guess you can just paint it right on. How DO you do that, btw? OH, and you're very welcome.

not sure. I thought you could just literally "paint" them onto a pre-existing wall. I thought .x was only for models. Get back to me on that tho, I'd like to know too.

Figured it out. You have to take an existing segment, and edit it's .fpe. Apparently there will be a file path that specifies the image used in it somewhere. You just change that filepath.

Ok I found out. You choose one of the fake wall entities, set it to static mode, then turn the phisics off. After that texture the wall to whatever you want to.

So you just retexture it using the method I already mentioned? I'm sure there should be a way to directly alter the actual segments rather than having to use entities the whole time. I checked out the BIN files of wall segments, and they include a filepath to a tga file. I altered the filepath to match my own texture, and an error popped up. I'll toy around with it, and see what results I come up with.
