I was trying out a sea modelling tutorial in a magazine, and came up with this, I am going to try and elaborate. (NOTE rendered in the demo of C4D 9.5 so I could access the sky plugin, everything else was done in C4D CE 6)

I've never tried those apps, you have a demo of C4D right? Well you can do it in that, as it was done in C4D above, and I plan on writing a tutorial on it at sometime

thanks, I've sorted it out, I'm gonna try a 90 frame movie render to test if the animation renders fine, and then try a sea animation with ice bergs or something

1st one wasnt coming up on the media plaer the second one 404'ed me... i cant right click STA either.

the pic looks god except yea the bumps are a little small... If you use bigger bumps it will look more like water. But if you do that dont make them cast hard shadows because then it wont look like water. Overall great though. I want to see the animations tho

Thanks

stupid putfile, I've changed the bump maps, I've rendered a third animation, I'll put it somewhere more stable, it has a weird thing happening half way through, maybe my screen saver interrupted it and made it weird shortly, I dunno (I would upload the new one on here, but it 15mb )

good point, still needs work, but really its there to give more to the scene, all I was testing was an efficient way of making waves and animate them for CGI

Thats looking pretty good, the water is a little too clear i think and it needs more reflection. The sky is blue, yet the water is brownish greenish, it should have some sky reflections and reflections of the bottle.

@ooga booga

yeap well , i`m still not done , first a little more real , than i`l try to make a small boat with character who`s leaving or picking the bottle , and i`l also make like islands and everything i can to make it look as better as i can...

and yeap , the water uses TWO objects , the above is transparent , the below is like you know rocks , but i just used texture for "rocks" and now i`m going to model them in order to gain more good looking stuff..

p.s. i just downloded express visual basic 5 , also some preatty neat free 3d engines (dbpro +) quality.. but the syntax is a bit different , but then my brother (from my uncle`s side) had visual basic 6 and i learned alot on it becouse i liked it the moment i saw it.. (he still has it , but he`s living in germany now , and i don`t go and visit him very often , he visit`s me accasionaly..)

seppuku i hafe to ask you again to make competition with this subject

becouse EVERYONE can come up with something , it`s easy to make something (an entry) , but it`s also very complex so modelers can experss theyr artistic side , just perfect for a competition .
