ok hot on the heels of bond1 execellent work on the half life zombie

after 1 fatal computer crash a fried processor and a hell of a lot of cash later

here is a battledroid already rigged for fpsc

however i need either a good 3ds max user to take a look at it or bond1 to work his magic on vertex relignment as i havent quite got all the vertexs religned

the droid is in max format as i dont own the pandasoft direct x exporter

was going to use this guy for my game overlander until the fatal computer crash its going to be a while before i am back up and running

so in the mean time you will find some extra non rigged aliens in the rar file as i dident have any good motion files for them

the rar is in the next post

would love to see some screenshots with this guy init

soon as i got of this bloody laptop and get my pc repair i will be continuing work on overlander so stay tuned

alas no i cant take credit for such excellence besides we all know the fable of rockadilla the fool who claimed to much

the only part i have had to play is spending 3 hour learning how to rigg him

the model is from a freeware half life mod called natural selection
you are free to use the model as long as you mention the orginal creators of the model in your game in a readme file and on your credits

no offensive vlad your one of the top guys on here it was not aimed at you i was just covering my self legally you know

i am still learning character construction in 3ds max

so watch this space for custom characters lol

and yes gameboy it is animated and you can use him in fpsc aslong as you export him out of 3ds max with pandasoft the hard bit of rigging and animating him is all done for you guys

the guide on how to export him is on the fpsc website just follow that

why you importing it? its a max file not a 3ds file

yeah if i can get hold of the motioncap files needed they look a bit gay with the fpsc biped attached

by the way you can use the models you just got to mention the natural selection half life mod in your credits

so can see a problem with shareware?

just to enforce what bond1 has said all you guys who are jumping up and down with joy about these models they are from half life mod natural selection

you MUST GIVE CREDIT TO THE ORGINAL AUTHORS

AND YOU CAN NOT PASS THEM OFF AS YOUR OWN WORK

AND YOU CAN NOT RESELL THEM IN MODEL PACKS

all i have done is rigged them as i learn how to rigg characters

the true genius goes to the natural selection team

and a small thanks to bond1 for helping me to learn to rigg properly

i will be realising custom characters as soon as i am more confident in rigging and animation

this is my way of learning and bringing something cool to this community in the process

there as been incidents recently of users passing of other peoples work as there own users like carlito and rockadilla

i will not pass other peoples work of as my own as i know what it feels like when you work for hours on stuff then have it nicked by some talentless noob and i will always give the true origin of any media used and make sure i have the proper permission to use it

so the moral of this story is follow the rules
