Hi

I cant start FPSC, when i start the program there are 2 errors that comes up. Its these errors here:

The program cant start because d3d9.dll is not found. And it saiys over that, that FPSC_MapEditor.exe is not found.

And when i click the Continue 30 day trial, this comes up:

Extra debug info 0.0. And it just closes down. I see in the forum that this is displayed, that i have to uninstall it and install it again, because you probably have the EA version install from before, but this is the 1 time i install it.

Can anyone please help me out here. I cant wait to start the program.

Hmmmmmmmmmm

It may not have installed properly the 1st time.

Try a repair (Start / The game creators / FPSC / Setup

then reinstall if that doesnt work.

Then erm....ask someone cleverer than me

9.0c to be on the safe side - the very latest version of DBPro needs that too.

I'm thinking of purchasing DBPro. I know this isn't really meant to be in the FPSC section, but since you probably have it by now-is it as easy to understand as the pages about it make out?

Answer These questions:

What was your Algebra II grade?
Have you taken Trigonometry?
Do you Like Math?

How much work will you do?
Can you visualize something abstract?
How Much Wood Can a Wood Chuck Chuck if a Wood Chuck Could Chuck Wood?

X is 1.
You write hello on a piece of paper and add 2 to X until X is greater then 9.
How Many Hellos are there?

Are you good at FPSC Scripting? Include example of work.

Just trying to understand you better, I get the feeling that you are a "now" person. Things have to come quickly to you or else they lose their meaning. But I may be wrong.

Erm....

Erm.... Dunno, just got it. I used to do basic on my Amiga (hehehe, if anyone asks me what an Amiga is I'll cry), and I did some basic programming on my maths course when I was younger.

Is it easy? Thats a very complex question!

To be fair, Ive read every tutorial from the TGC news letters, and have been working through all the help files and tuts on the DB Pro demo, plus Ive been reading the DB Pro forum for ages, printing out advice and tutorials etc so I can read them on the way to work, and on my lunch breaks so I think Ive started out on a good footing.

Think of it this way Tom, If you had a blank canvass in front of you and someone asked you if painting was easy what would you say?

The canvas allows you to create ANYTHING you want.
How complex and how professional that finished product is, is up to YOU!
