Make your Space Games more realistic by adding a vacuum effect that sucks the player out a door or window when it's destroyed.

I uploaded the .FPM and .FPI files for this small example. I wanted to upload the finished level but the file size was over 10Meg.

*** In the ReAd Me.txt file, i think i said to place in the main script. However, I meant to say the destroy script. The main should be defualt.fpi. My Bad! ***
Have Fun!

Nue B. or not Nue B. That is the question.

I tested it.

I kinda cool but you don't actually move, you just suddenly appear in the kill zone and get sucked backwards every time you respawn.

Avenging Eagle, your right. It's not an animation of the player getting pulled out of a room. But it's as close as one could get using FPSC.

Nue B. or not Nue B. That is the question.

well Bull shocker, If you shoot out a window to a NASA Ship in real life; Chances are you wont come back then either. lol. The windows can be set to respawn when dead "destroyed" to return the game back to normal play. In the example I didn't set the windows to respawn because I wanted to allow "The smart kidz" to figure it out.
Furthermore, In my space game "Last Standing" the player starts with only two lives. I like to make games that are as realistic and challenging as possible. It doesn't take long for someone to realize they need to exercise caution when playing my FPS games.

oh, well if thats the case, then i apologise...

its just you see alot of people not even noticing there error...(maybe your name is a little misleading)

anyway, i hade the same thing going a while back, but in order to keep it realistic, you need a zone for every window, and that killed the framerate for some reason...

I use the same zone for every window Bull Shocker, I know it's not completely accurate but when you're dead who cares. lol.

No, A.E. I don't have a lot of windows in the space game.
What I meant by that statement was that you only have to shootout a window once to see the harm in doing so. But in fairness to the player the character Mesh isn't limited to it's texture. therefore your aim doesn't need to be deadly accurate.

I don't know what the rucus is about, but couldn't you merely spawn to the window? You may need to give the plr a little push, but that saves needing many zones. (Using it as the window destroy script...)

If you spawn to each window, you'd need a script for each window. that's too much.
