As in a CD? Simply burn the file's using a Burning Suite such as Nero 7. Or if you want to be fancy you could use ClickTeams Install Creator (There is a free non-commerical version) and make a install system gfor your game (Like the big commercial games). Or Use FPSPack 2.2 (if you can get it.) or wait for 2.5 and combine all your files's into one .exe and burn that. In the end you need a Burning Suite/Software.

You mean a floppy disk or CD? Here it is:
Floppy Disk:
You will need a floppy disk. Simply build your game using File-->Build Game then put the Built Game onto a disk
CD:
You will need a CD burner and an empty CD. Build the game using FIle-->Build Game, then burn it onto the empty CD.

No, it won't.
I'm not sure about the first level, but it can't unzip the zip in a CD.

Start out small. In my opinion use Install Maker Pro. or buy the full version. But first, Use FPSPack2.2 to compress the entire game. If you
have AVI's please make sure that they are the right format and offer your people some codecs or websites to them. If your AVI's have not been compressed within FPSPack.2.2 zipp them up along with your final install pack onto CD, Floppy's are old and mostly useless. Include read -me's and any other info. Burn to NERO like the dude said. Poof final product. Rj

WinRAR works better, but if you use an installer thing, then you don't need FPSPack, besides, Rastaman took it down.

Merranvo is right.
It won't work.
You can't burn the game to a CD then get it to work after.
Try it.
The level Zips get corrupted.

However, they can be made available as a download. (they are not large)
You get 95 to 97 % on the CD.
You can just Burn the whole folder that was created in the MyGames folder when you built the game.

The users will need to manually over-write those Levelbank Zips from the CD with the Downloaded ones.
That is done by the user after they install (copy) the CDs files to their hard drive.

YOUR JOB
BURN GAME --> UPLOAD LEVELBANK ZIPS --> CREATE USER WEBPAGES/INSTRUCTIONS

USER
INSTALL CD --> DOWNLOAD ZIPs --> OVERWRITE LEVELBANK --> HAVE FUN!

CD Distribution is possible.
Even though it requires a download, the size is acceptable for dial-up.

Its very easy to release a game via CD just bare in mind you CANT play off the disc. The files must be on the hard drive. This is do to the fact winzip/winrar can't read from the disc due temporay space not been available to allow reading of the file's inside.
So taking that in mind you could do the following.

a) Design and build game.
b) Package game using ICP.
c) Burn Install to CD.
d) Install from CD and play.
e) Optional: Release 'patch's or 'expansions' to the game using Patch Maker to add in the altered file's and allow people to download the patch or expansion.

You can get both Install Creator Pro and Patch Maker from ClickTeam.

I had this trouble too -

When using an iPod to transfer a 4 level game. It just wouldnt copy properly.

So I Rar'd the whole folder up and it seemed to work fine - But I have only tested this using an iPod, not on CD.

Remember, the game file's are fine on disc but you can NOT play from a disc. Also the level's need to be recompressed using say WinRar or an Installer or better yet FPSPack. This way they don't get corrupt. Just browse this thread if your looking on how to do it, a few people and myself have posted way's you can do it.

There is a Demo version of Nero out there and it's got a really simple wizard tool to help you burn. Go get it [href]www.ahead.com[/href]

Why the hell do you need nero?
Simply use the included windows burn thingy.

Nero... waste of money, anything Nero can do, I can do with free software.

Good for you but I suggested Nero as it's newbie friendly and still voted one of the best burner's out there. There is also Clone CD/DVD and ISOBuster with its built in burner. Or WinISO/MagicISO with Dvd Decrypter etc etc.

Nero is the easiest of them all (except perhaps Clone CD/DVD)

Well, I don't think he will be making ISO's so what is wrong with dragging a folder to a cd?

And making an ISO is easy... found this tool a long time ago.

Also, most importantly, delete the extracted level files in levelbank, you only need the zips...

Conner94 turned me on to this installer utility.
Try Install Creator, it's FREE.

http://www.clickteam.com/English/install_creator.htm

Use this to compress your game before you burn.
Then burn the EXE it creates.
Then when they run it from the CD it installs everything.

You really should have an installer for your CD anyway.
This is supposed to fix that Levelbank Zip file error I mentioned above.
I have ran local tests successfully, and will be completing my tests tomorrow.
So far, it looks great.
The Royalty Free License makes this a perfet match for FPSC!

EDIT
I have finished testing Install Creator, and I am pleased.
It compressed my 233mb game to only 58.4 mbs, and the Levelbank Zip problem is solved.
Click the link above, because you will like it too.
It's FREE of cost, and Royalty Free.
I highly recommend it.
It works perfect.
