When I put the weapons in the level using the editor, I use the 1,2,3,4,5,6 keys to angle and position them and turn off the weapons glow and the up and down motion. When I test the game they have gone back to the default "upright" position. Is there a way to get a weapon to sit with the muzzle pointing to the ceiling and stay there?

I believe there is a problem with tilting entities and them appearing in the build.

Uman & Merranvo told me that if the entity is not at the standard horizontal plain then it breaks.

I could be wrong, and quite possibly are, no doubt an elitist will trounce my words within minutes.

Mabiggi, does DAB Studios stand for Dibbuns Against Bedtime? I always wondered...

When FPSC develops enough, lets make a Redwall game!

Good question. Some seem to and others not. Answer is I guess its erronous behaviour.

You could try editing out any info in the .fpe or deleting the bin or .dbo files - dont know if that would help.

The only certain option I guess is to trick FPSC some way with a workaround or rotate a copy of the weapon model in an editor and use that.

Its just one more error to add to the FPSC list that needs attention from TGC and needs putting in the bug forum. I discover so many bugs I forget more than I remeber.

Seems the only way to do it is to import the weapon's entity .x file into Milkshape and rotate it onto it's side. I was a little worried that this would mean characters shooting at me with guns rotated though 90 degrees, but then I realised that they use the VWEAP.X file from the gamecore

Screen shot shows a Colt .45 resting on top of a book on a desk. One thing with the Colt, it'll be pointing at the ground in the editor unless you edit the .fpe file and set rotz to 0. I haven't looked to see if any other weapons have rotations applied.

You can put weapons in any position that you want if you use them as static objects. Then you can't pick weapon up though...

I will have to import a ".X" weapon model from FPSC into 3D Canvas and export it as a 3DS file. Then import it to 3DS Max and position it there. Then export it to FPSC as a ".X" file. Thanks a ton.

This is a problem with physics I think, And I am getting annoyed enough to go into the source and rip out that damned physics generator. You see, weapons need to fall and all that crap, but they need to do that decal spin right, and like everything else, it doesn't turn of when physics are turned off.
