Db mad , please choose a name. (between those two , or someone else , just make it ONE please..)

Seppuku Arts : IF you want i can cancel you`r entry , i`m sorry i entryed it without asking you first.

and i vote for Big add , eaven though i like the once with smaller effects and higher reality , becouse many modelers add some special effect and it looks powerfull , but not REAL , and reallity is inportant here , but still i like Big Add`s entry (thought it`s a bit too big of an add.. )

yeap , you can be voted for , i accept your entry , BUT becouse you got here late , users can NOT change their appinions to your entry (the one who had voted) , so Manticore Night `s vote stays what it was ..

You got one vote

and i`m preatty sure you`l get more soon , that`s great you know..

p.s. competition voting will be over in one day , and the winner get`s suprise award !

LOL !

titanic scene is actually a good idea , yes noone can chose the name of next competition but SURELY can say what they would like next competition topic to be...

And a pirate ship looks good too , but only there is too many stuff and it`s too complicated - i`m making simpler ones - so everyone can make an entry , and it still leaves space for artists to make it look really cool...

A person getting the bottle ? - i actually modeled that my self ! (but i never finished...)

So , everyone CAN suggest the next compo title ..

, but only the ones who had voted , so if you didn`t and want to suggest something , use the same post and include your vote .

p.s. it looks like big add is going to win , there aren`t many time untill the compo ends.. - but meracles heappen..

I was bored and needed some inspiration, I saw this thread and found some

Ok, two things:

Firstly, I know it is too late to enter into the compo.
Secondly, It's a 3D compo and my entry is clearly 2D.

I know these things, but like I said, I was looking for some inspiration to releave my bordom and decided to have a go at a Lost at Sea picture. Since I can't model for toffee I drew it in 2D using Photoshop.

Don't vote on it ... it doesn't meet any of the criteria. I just thought I would put it here anyway.

@Smoked, your welcome, isnt that a bit long? How much anti-alias did you put into it, or how many area shadows?

yes it is a bit long, but it's because i used raytrace on both the water and the bottle, with raytrace depth of 35. plus I used Hammersley SuperSampling with a quality of one. Further, because i was only going to make a static scene for still renders I increased the poly count on everything 55k in total... i know it's a bit much but i wanted it to be really smooth with as little tweeking as possible. as for anti-a i have it at default of filter:area and filter size of 1.5

i`we got ati radeon 9900 (at least i think it`s 9900) and amd processor 3ghz and i render 3d pictures with raycetrayce in about ahm... 15,20 mins...-not too fast , but i use all great effects like motion blure and such...

@Smoked that explains it, I turned up my ray trace depth and it took ages to render. But I tend not to do things to my scene that kill my render time and have little effect on my scene.

@Dodic, rendering is really to do with ram, processors and gfx card play an effect, but its the ram that counts
