Ok I was messing around with the steam entity, and had a little effect of steam coming out of a grid in the floor, the problem is the grid isnt always there on runtime, sometimes fpsc draws just a metal plate, is this a random thing that nothing can be done about with segments?

Show us a screenshot, I'm not particularly sure what you're on about ...

Fair enough..This is the pic in the editor, clearly you can see it above a texture of a grid part, which is part of that segment

This is a problem due to the segments having up to 4 textures. This was done to stop the tiling effect seen on some games.Unfortunately every time you test the game the texture selected changes and the grill might not be where you place it.The only way around it I have found is to take a floor segment and retexture it with one texture(in your case a grill) and place this in your level.

Well, that may seem logical, but damn its so impractical! This is abit of a silly idea as every game run the walls and floors are going to be different for the player! I dont know if I can work wih randomness!

Once the game is built as a complete game the textures are fixed. The above only applies during testing. And yes it is a bother.
