Hey dudes, well I'll offer 10 days for the new contest, and well I decided the topic of something that hopefully will benefit you.

The Improvement contest, here you need to find something you found difficult to do (we'll need the original version of the difficult) and you will need to try and do that difficult thing again, votes will go to who people think made the biggest improve.

As I cannot make an entry, I can put what my difficult to improvement thing is

thats a good idea for a competition But it'll be hard to judge - I mean someone could do a purposely bad first model and then a stunningly gret finished one... lol but still I like the idea of the compo

Well, the idea of the entire contest is to make models for self improvement rather than glory, if they cheat, they are really only cheating themselves. plus the chances are a cheater would be noticable, like person x cheated in contest y, and their model said that itself wasn't theirs, and someone looked it up and found that it wasn't infact theirs

How exact does it have to be? For example, if I wanted to redo my mech, could I make a mech that looks completely different but is still a mech? Here is the old one:

as long as it is based to be an improvement of the last model, well if the differant features are what you would percieve as an improvment I see no harm

It is fair, if he wants to win, he'll have to make the biggest improvement that wins people over with, this time it NOT ABOUT HOW IT LOOKS, so basically anyone can win, those more experienced artists will prolly find it harder, which is fair, considering before it was the less experienced artists that found it harder

Hmm Well I cant do 10 days so ill have to sit this out i think.
And I dont have any models that need improving ATM. But i have an incomplete model. Can i finish that as an improvement?

well... i`m preatty bad , so my inprovement won`t be to good

but here`s what i would like to inprove : (it`s ok to inprove stuff from face of beuty contest , or is it not ?)




In the mean time , i lost the paint... so it`s gray now..(white..)
i`l try to texture it , add a mouth , and make eyes that resemble eyes...

Oh it can definately be improved. Thanks tho oddmind that made me feel good :p The new one wont' really look anything like it, only similarity is that it is a mech. Once again tho, if that is streching the rules i have a couple other ideas.

Ok, I got this great idea when I was looking at this thread.

Below is the first 3d model I have ever made. (Has kind of a nostalgic value to me)



However, you did say that it would be cheating to have a really terrible model, then remake it... Would this be cheating or anything, because I'd really like to do this...

@The crazy the idea is to do something that you've tried that was difficult which is why you failed at, and see how much you can improve on it, I'm afraid unless you are new, early works kind of defy the idea of this, sorry dude

well I'm sure theres something you can do in 9 days dude But if people do look like they are struggling I will extend by a maximum of 5days, because for you to improve, you will need time to learn . But if all sails as expected, then I won't

Yeah... I think I chose the right model to improve


EDIT: Even though this was made off of a tutorial, it fits a zombie's look but not a humans, so I really must use this if I can.
