I just got a new video card and am trying to learn how to apply 3D effect that I exported using RenderMonkey and apply the effects to a simple object.

This is what i tried so far in darkbasic.

when this is loaded it make the object invisible.

if the link doesn't work go to Darkbasic Profession section of the Forum and check out the sticky on Shaders....

I think with some of the fx files you have to go in a manually change some of the code settings to get them to work properly...

Sorry been too busy to do any real amount of research on the subject but that seemed to be the feeling I got from the thread....

Good Luck and if you get a solution don't forget to post how you arrived at it on this thread so others like myself can benefit from your expertise...

@Dimension

Had exactly the same problem. Also, RenderMonkey crashed my system when I used it to load the example "bubble.rfx". Have you made any progress with your query?

Not exactly, I am waiting until I get a laptop with a very good graphics card because this graphics card doesn't do much.
