Out of all gaming controllers, I like the gamepad most. I have one that plugs into my computer and looks like a PS2 controller. My question is if I can use this controller for the FPS game I am making.

Doom, Destruction, and Chaos! Mwahahahahahahahahaha!

More than likely you'll need to get a keymapper for the joystick. I really like a program called Total Game Control. You can even map analog joysticks to act as mouse controls.

I'm not talking about a joystick...read my entire post!

I'm talking about the game controllers you plug into the USB port and they look like Playstation 2 controllers.

Can somebody who knows anything on this answer my question?

Jeez Lavitz, I answered this question...read my entire post!

Did you bother to check out Total Game Control?
Here, I'll make it ridiculously easy: http://www.digitaltransforms.com/

It works on all gamepad controllers (yes even the ones that look like PS2 controllers). I was just simply pointing out the fact that you can ALSO map analog sticks to mouse controls, which would come in very useful for FPS games. I'm assuming your PS2 type controller has 2 analog sticks on it, correct?
