Newcomers DBPro Corner / screen savers? i have searched but it wont work!

okay i have my screen saver file. i right click on it and hit install. all it does is bring up the screen saver window where you can select 3D pipes and that stuff. but it wont show my screen saver. any ideas how to get the one im using up there?

Did you try copying it to your windows directory?

i think u have to rename your exe to scr. not too sure though.

you have to rename it to a .scr and place it in the C:\Windows\system32 folder

when i rename my EXE it still says its an EXE not a screensaver.

Make sure your computer isn't set to hide file extensions. It's probably named something like myfile.scr.exe.

Indeed. You may as well do this if you can't be bothered to change your options:

1. Click start.
2. Go Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt

(Say your file was in c:\blah.exe and you wanted it to be c:\windows\system32\blah.scr):
Type in this, and then hit [Enter]:

move C:\blah.exe C:\windows\system32\blah.scr

Command prompt never hides file extensions.
