Hey everyone, I tried making a level in 3d world studio and now I want to import it into a fpsc game. However at this time I have the .x file and its textures. There are about 20 different files in jpeg that are the textures for the level. Is there anyway of making the level playable through fpsc and if so how? I know I need to make a fpe file but I dont know how to do it with multiple texture files.

Thank You

As far as I know, an entity can only have 1 texture...

Yeah, it's pretty gay, and it's screwing me too

You can't have mulitple textures in FPSC (aside from the ones it generates for the lightmaps).

This isn't going to be easy to do. I have some idea how I'd attempt to do this, but I'd need to write a book to explain it.

Sorry.

I don't know what you mean, unless you're talking about the effects maps (normal, shininess etc.), which I don't think was the issue.

Yes.

It wasn't a flame, I just don't understand what you mean, since I don't think anything in FPSC can have more than ones texture map per model.

Weapons can have more then one texture.

For example... there is the Mas. It has 2 different textures... 1 for the gun and one for the scope. I also have the Kar 98 w/ scope from the WWII media pack, and it has 2 textures and works in the game.

You can leave the texture blank in the fpe and it still works because its getting the image from the mesh, which is what all entities should be doing.

This seems to be true.

I hadn't looked at these files before, but the mas definitely has two textures.

Others have had problems with bringing in moels with more than one texture, which is what led me to beleive it wasn't possible.

3d world studio and cartography shop use multiple textures and dont use uv maps

for this reason 3d world studio levels and cartography shop levels are totally incompatible with fpscreator and will not work

you can use cartography shop to make small 1 textured prefabs but thats about it

you cant make a full level
