would i earn alot more fps by simply making all the sprites in to 3d objects instead that i lock on to the screen?

Not really, Have you tried to use the "SET SPRITE" command to disable the "backsave" setting?
It's evil and will eat up your processing power, esp when using a lot of sprites.

Nah, i use over 300 sprites in my game just on the mini map, actually the mini map is a sprite aswell.

300 sprites for just the minimap eh? Perhaps you should use the "SET CURRENT BITMAP", "PASTE IMAGE" and "GET IMAGE" commands to paste the symbols on a single sprite.
Probably a little faster than using that many sprites.

Tywald, you realise getting and pasting images is slower than using a single sprite?

I use a memblock for the mini map, all changes are done directly into memory, then when needed, my mp is made by 1 command.
make image from memblock.

then if need be, i can size rotate and move it to any location without any trouble at all.

The other sprites are good/evil position and the position of spells when they occur.

Aha, i though you were using 300 active sprites that you placed on top of the minimap. Guess i got a little confused there, you're actually just using "one" active sprite for the minimap? The map itself. The minimap "blips" are just images that's written into the memblock?
I've never used a memblock for image manipulation before but it sounds intresting the way you describe it.
