The 2nd (I know the first one isn't up yet) Ozark Games Pack is out, and ready to download at our forums (no registration necessary). The pack includes an automatic installer, so you don't need to know what files go where. The license is in the installer.

Go here for the Pack: http://www.ozarkgames.com/smf/index.php?topic=44.msg77

Enjoy.

-Keith (The OG Team)

EDIT--Forgot to mention that the installer comes with an UNinstaller as well (it won't get rid of the .BIN files because FPSCreator creates those).

Is there too many polys in your models or why framerate drops down when I go near of them?

Nigezu,

How many models are you putting into a single area? The highest number of polys in that collection is around 600 (the Artillery Crate). You may be running into the problem others had with extra geometry in certain parts of the segments (it was discussed with TGC, but they found there was nothing they could do about it at this time).

Try a new level with only 1 prefab (such as the large warehouse), fill it with some of the pack's entities (I filled a prefab with about a dozen of each, as well as 5-6 enemies, and weapons without loss of framerate), and try it out.

Let me know what the results are.

One more thing; if everybody could let me know how the installer worked for them, that would be great. Thanks.

Installer worked great, Keith!

And I had 3 of your models and some other models in single roomed level. Framerates went down when I get really, really close of oxygentanks. And frames didn't went so down that you can't play the game.

OK, good information. We try to test it all out (including the installer) on multiple computers before releasing it. This is the installer we will be using for all packs, including the upcoming pay pack (which is taking a wee bit longer than I anticipated).

The next pack (#1) will include the previously released models: grenade, cabinet, wooden cup and bowl; as well as an ammo box for the grenade. This is for the people that never downloaded those in the first place, or didn't want to bother with putting them in the file folders.

As it says in the license agreement, yes. Commercial or non-commercial, and royalty free. Also, the installer program also includes an uninstaller (it won't uninstall the .bin files, since FPSC creates those) to take them back off if you want.

Well, it's been a few days, and the pack has been downloaded quite a few times without any complaints about the installer or the models. So it looks like this is definately how we will present future packs.

I'd like to thank all those that have, or will download it (or other media at our site); we hope you put them to good use, and look forward to seeing some screenshots some day.

Thanks again,

-Keith (The OG Team)
