would anyone be nice enough to make me some very basic grass, because all the grass i download slows my games down to like 8fps....

i'm looking for a patch of grass/bush that i can clone/instance to decorate my ground.

any help would be great.. unfortuanetly all i can offer in return is a copy of the finished game and a spot in the credits.

[edit]ok, seeing as no posts have been offered yet, here's what i have so far... (if it works, never tried adding a picture yet, )
[/edit]

[edit2]well the links up
and if u download it u can see the fps is 16, and that's not even the worst case i've had, it actually made it down to 7 at one point!
and this is before i add enemies.... is this just my computer? my other games have been fine but then, i am using a laptop..

now how do i actually display an image?
straight from my hdd?[/edit2]

To be honest, grass shouldn't do that, all it is, is a few polygons with texture and alpha mapping, possibly you could increase performance by checking the image file format, convert it to .png or .jpeg check the model file format, make sure it is .x, and make sure it has a low polycount, these could be issues

To post images, either use image hosting (i.e. Photobucket) or when you put them as attachments, use .jpegs

That would be awesome to have the entire terrain with independant grass blades

well grass can be achieved with shaders, the one I have isn't like you would find in a 3D render, but gives the illusion of animated grass as a pixel shader
