I just got the Unity plugin today, and reading through the manual it says that you can compile the scripts to non-readable format with the compiler (luac.exe), but it dosen't seem to come with the plugin. The manual only has a tiny little section on it, but it does sound like it should be here somewhere. If it isn't included then does anyone know where I could get it?

You can grab the Lua binaries (lua.exe and luac.exe) off sourceforge:

Ah thanks to both of you! I'm new to lua scripting (or any other scripting for that matter), so I don't know these things. This helps a lot. Thanks again!

Not quite, you can just use notepad or wordpad and save it as .lua instead of .txt
The compiler pre-compiles the scripts you make with notepad / wordpad into bytecode (what lua / unity actually executes). Making it unreadable in a similar way to writing a memblock to a file therefore making your scripts more secure. It can also increase the speed of your program as lua / unity wont have to convert your txt type script over to bytecode before using it.

Hope this helps

yeah that way the end user won't be able to open up the file where you stored info about the weapons and turn the pistol into a weapon of mass destruction.

Normaly your LUA is safe as text on your server and it makes it easy to edit your world

I'm using LUA with Tibia OT server and I cant wait to get it into my own DBP projects.

Hurry up processing my order!
