hey all, today i decided to show some progress of my online game that im working on. called BlueLight Online

i have used Tempest to make the multiplayer part of the game,
NewClear Glory for the collision, and the rest, is my work

the game is 3rd person with mouse to control the camera.

so what we have so far?
- Chat system working!
- Whispering (/tell <nick> <msg> )
- Yelling (/yell <msg> )
- Normal Message (<msg> )
- chat commands:
/fps - to see the FPS rate
/ver - to see the current client version
/name - to see the server name that you connected to.

- Multiplayer system perfectly working!
- Registration System done!
- Login system done!
- Launcher/Updater done!
- Male/Female characters BONED characters and 2 animations in each of them.
- Walking Animation/Idle animation are done!

ScreenShots:

thanks to:
Benjamin
Hau Nghie Phan (TigerZ)
GSUK

game FPS is around ~100
in this shot you see ~40 fps because there are 2 clients and one server opened in same computer...

new updates soon.

Nice work, keep it coming. I'd like to see this project develope.

I was thinking of making an MMORPG myself, and I have the necessary knowledge, I just don't want to abandon my FPS.

How do you [propose to/do you] handle the updating of the players objects and the like? do you send a message to the server which sends an string variable with the object number and various other bits, do you send a tpye structure....?

Nice work gogetaX, looks like a nice progression from when you were making morning online, you have character models instead of the 3DS Max guy....but he was cool, you gotta still have him

@PowerSoft:
for a=1 to TOTAL_PLAYERS_ONLINE
if a = PlayerID
get the players position here
endif
next a
v. simple when u using Tempest..

and tempest is winsock plugin, and im sending the info to other players(no need to send to the server anything)

sweet!, those player models look very un db like /pro

level leaves something to be desired tho... maybe if it was lightmapped then it would look cooler? maybe closer fog so it gives a nice spooky feel.

Ooooh, nice

Really, there's only 1 thing negative i can say about it: Maybe the buildings can use a little more work.
But I think they will be changed later anyway so...

i think the "magic" to make the houses look better, is just put some objects near them. and thats exactly what i will do

I think its the texture repeat and the lighting.

I think it's that they lack a unique feel to them unlike the characters and are just plain dull.

Nice dude, try to use a variating texture, or just one that will tile smoothly so it doesn't look so bad. But v. nice work dude, can't wait for release

errr.. i think the inventory is in a write place
cuz if ill move it a lil, bit will be already Under status window popup. which is not good for the inventory. so the free place in the screen, is the right corner atm. soon ill have to add the trading system, which will take the whole left corner.
