Is it possible to create an expansion pack of your(oh-so-original) games if your original game eg.Mission Mars(MM)has just too many levels and you don`t want your gamers to skip the original MM and go straight to MM2.

Why not make MM, release it then start work on MM2 and 6 months down the line when its finished realease MM2. With any luck lots of people will have played MM by that time.

But if your talking about creating a game that can only run if you have the original i don't thin you can do it. You could try and write a storyline that will only make sense if you've played the first game.

You could do it with the installer from the Click Team using the "Only Install If" option that will check if a file is installed in this case a previous game. As for locking a game untill the first is finished Im sure there would be work arounds but of the top of my head without writing a application similar to FPSPack your alittle stuck. Espiaclly since your game will not create any file's after completion to check for, which you could of used to unlock the expansion.

Use the clickteam patch creator.

i did that too with alien wars online and it worked fine!

BUT the patch will not change the name of the program.
only the content.

AND if you make that, make sure that with the expansion pack you wont ecxeed the 50 level limit for a game.
else the game wont run.
