Here's a pack of 20 wood textures (Boards, Uncut, and Patterns). They are 512x512 (.PNG format), and tileable. Royalty free, for commercial/noncommercial use (license enclosed).

Yep, I got tired of running through the thick underbrush taking pictures of trees

I spent a bit of time with the settings on each one though. Somebody came through here the other day trying to sell a pack of @50 wood textures using Wood Workshop; so I thought I'd give people a free alternative.

I am also making a free texture and perhabs model pack (but more of simple stuff like walls , floors and such)

Maby we could make a free texture pack together ?

Maby a 50 textures pack (various - bricks , materials , etc.)

I think we could do a 25 each ?

Thanks for the offer, Dodic; but I've really got my hands full as it is. I think you're on the right track to making your own pack. Just take your time, and put together something that you wouldn't mind downloading yourself.

Lizz, the knife is now up for download at our forums (put it up last night). It is not FPSCreator ready (no melee yet); but it is in .X, .3DS, and .COB formats, with a 512x512 .PNG texture.

I've actually been thinking about doing an alternate texture for the knife; maybe a black handle or something. I know it's not ready for FPSC right now, but if enough people want it, I may put it together. Just for some more variety.

Yes, I know that Dodic (just like your floor segment). This is called a time-saver. Many people could make this themselves, just like many people could make the Models of the Month I and Templar put out. But they don't have to because someone else took the time to do it for them (as well as taking up space on our servers hosting it).

The point is, I keep hearing people let me know how easy it is to make this in Wood Workshop, but I don't see these people offering much up for the community; especially wrapped up in one nice download (instead of giving a link to each one individually).

But thanks for coming on the thread to give your opinion. If I'm wasting my time, please, let me know.

I try/will try to offer as much as i can (free) to community of fpsc , becouse i like fpsc , and like people around here , but give me some time , i just came here , i made that segment creator so far..

I didn`t think it was wrong from you to release that wood workshop made pack , i like the textures , some people dont eaven know about wood workshop , and buy textures like that for $15-20 , so it is a good deed from you to give it to everyone.

If anyone wants to know about Wood Workshop (Spiral Graphics) I have written up a brief entry on it here: Wood Workshop
There is a link in my post going directly to the official Wood Workshop page. I have also given a brief description on Genetica (where Wood Workshop comes from). Feel free to check that out.

I realize you have been in the FPSC forums for a short while (I've seen you around the "3 Dimensional Chat" forums for quite awhile though), but I would appreciate it if you didn't come on someone else's thread and try to belittle someone's contribution. I don't remember coming on your "floor texture" thread and saying "that was just done in Wood Workshop", did I (even though it was pretty obvious, and you didn't mention that either)?

I'm not gonna get all bent out of shape over this, but a little bit of common sense would be nice before posting.
