I have noticed that some people are taking photos and then modeling them and they look really cool. What is the easiset way to go about this ? I have a digital camera and tons of different photo and modeling software. any suggestions ?

adding to what ultraplex said.

Best minimum pics would be 2. Front and side. Take more of course of different angles. Even if not used within the modeler, its good for reference when modelling. Use an image manipulation software to line up the 2 views so that certains points or areas are aligned.

@Lizblizz:

Quite a few games use this,
I think ur talking about photo backdrops, while what their talking about is alining shapes(simply put) to the photograpgh, so that the end result would be shaped like the photo
