Model is 580 polys, I'm trying to keep it as low as possible. I will fix the textures, as for the roof it's meant to be in that style, but could you lead me in the direction of the kind of roof your looking for?

Thanks for the comments! Pretty quick too

its an ok model. That roof may need a look at though. Also that texture needs re-doing. Keep it up though.

Heh, thanks for the feedback BigAdd, but I would like it if you had done it in the style I showed in my post

Yeah, the roof, I'm aiming for something other than a big triangle. Anyone hav some suggestions?

Textures, will all be fixed.

I think you could lower even more the number of polys...

Pros:
You have a door and a window that look to be scaled right

Cons:
The models itself is a bit odd shaped.
First I can't tell but is the chimney in the middle of the house?
kind of an odd place for it.
Second i think the house is too thin for how tall it is, it may need to be leanning against a cliff or something.
The window looks sideways.
The roof is kind of an odd shape too.

Overall:
it has potential. 3 out of 5

I have a few suggestions/questions
1. for the textures try finding pictures of wood or shingles off the internet
2. make the textures or find ones that are huge such as 1200,1200 this way they will be able to get scaled down and it looks alot better than scaling them up
3. is it possible to show pictures on your posts whith out using a website?

Pros:
Nice modelling, good start

Cons:
Texture is horrible (no offense) - Try and my is smaller
Proportion, is out of the window (excuse the pun)
The way you did the window and door could be improve, try cutting them out instead of building around them

Overall:
Its a good start, but sounds like you want real crit, so I'll be blunt, it could improve quite a bit, I understand it is your first house, so its good, but theres still a way to go, this is the fun of learning, now you have a model built, you have a great chance to learn as much as you can from it, and to improve it

Model 1.5 OF 5 stars
As newbie 3.5 out 5 stars
It about average, nothing special, but shows promise in creativity

Good model, weird shaped roof, and pretty bad textures.

Overall: 3/5
