Models, animation and characters in .X
Texture files in .tga or .dds (FPSC convert .tga into DDS anyway)

I tend to find the script file for the sort of thing I'm adding and hack it to suit.

Like if I was adding a machine gun I'd go looking in the weapons bit and copy the Commando directory and change that to suit my own weapon - mostly just with the gunspec.txt setup file.

Are you asking which directories you have to place your .X files, .TGA files etc? If you asking for a definite file NAME, then you can call file names anything. My guess is your talking about where to install your file types to.

hum...to clear some things up:

The files for the generic items are in the files/entitybank/generic/items folder.

Is this the answer to your question?
I realy didnt understand what you mean.

If you want a model/item to show up in FPSC you need the model (it has to be a x. file), a texture (tga or dds. file) and a fpe. file.

If there is no fpe file you have to make one for the model/item.

EDIT:
Here is a link to a tutorial for importing models to FPSC:

Q.do you know how to model, texture the model and save it as an x.file (direct X file).
The .TGA abd .DDS files are used for your Textures, the FPE file, is your Script file for your model.

How old are you xgame masterx?

I'm guessing not very, then again i'm only 14...

An X file is file that contains all the info for a 3D model,
A tga file is type of picture (like bmp or jpeg) that is used to texture the model (colour it in). Finally, the fpe file is a script that can be opened and edited in "notepad" (comes with windows) that defines certain atributes like size, health, what the model is, what the texture is etc.

Does that help?
