Hey howdy ho,
I'm making a multiplayer game and I'd like to know how to show the names of the players above them.

You could use a plain textured with an image of the players name, then point it in the right direction so players can see it.

Under DBPro text doesn't really slow anything down so it's pretty easy to do...



You can adjust the height by altering the number 30.


If you are using DBC then you are best to make a plain and texture the name onto it - then put the plain onscreen and disable it's zdepth. Messy I know but faster.

That code snippet will work in DBC but might run slow on some machines because it uses 2D with 3D.

text in DarkBasic standard/enhanced isn't exactly the best thing - and besides it can be very unreadable.

What i'd do is have it create the names onto a texture and use a plain instead

One block follows the suit ... the whole suit of blocks is the path ... what have you found?
