311k wtf, meshsmoothed with 10 iterations? it doesnt even looked very detailed, or like a sword, best to practice on lowpoly work and remove meshsmooth support from whatever app you use.

Halowed are the ori.

Yeh but what Darkcoder is getting at its rather high poly for something that smooth. You would expect something of that high poly to have engraved detail on it etc etc. Perhaps the sword needs to look a bit sharper dude. You have got the colour of the chocolate looking good. Perhaps you could add a bit of bump to it? i dont know if blender supports that or not.

Wow. This is hilarious. Dude, I dont give a damn about him not giving a damn about low poly. (I don't usually cuss I just thought it would sound funny) 311,000 polys is insane! My computer mkay not be as great as all yours but it's alright and it cant even come close to 300K without going slow at least. I think we all see the reason he uses poly-smooth so much. Lack of skill/ beginner. It's ok. But wow, no. You cannot justify that by "not giving a damn about low-poly". It wouldn't even be practical for an animation. I know my comp would be freezing up trying to animate something with that.

Anyway, wow that really bothered me. So I tried it myself. Below I posted both a sword I made poly-smoothed twice, and also one polysmoothed about as much as my comp could handle (5 or 6) Can't tell the difference. But then look at the wireframes. That's insane dude.

im not saying that it isnt like increibaly high poly for a not very detailed model im saying that he dosent care cause he dosent make games so he dosent care that it would slow the game down. also if it is just for a render it dosent matter how many polys it got on it

he is a begginer i agree with you and i tell him alot to lay of on the subsurf

No offence, but your sword looks like it might be one of those rubber sword things(if anyone knows what im talking about) that I used to play with when I was a kid...and 311k polys is ridiculous no matter how much of a high poly person you are.

Here's some help:

Hey dude, its your model, and you should be happy with your poly count, even if it isn't a very practical one, even my high poly faces are only below 50k, and being that high poly its would be difficult to edit, sure you may not care about the poly count now in your renders, but you will find that it will be more important later, and its good to practice keeping them low poly now.

Nice chocolates

blagh. I could see if you were into raytracing and stuff where you would get that poly count, but BESIDES that... Its a pretty good model, just doesnt look like i would kill someone with it.
