I was wondering if it was at all possible to script a horizontally moving platform, like a lift. And if someone could please help me out with that script, that would be great.

Thanks in advance, Beau

Yes, it is possible.
No, I have not done it yet.
Maybe, I should soon.

I'm booked for awhile, but this is something I have been wanting to do.
In fact, I have plans for this very thing in my next Game release. (Sci-Fi)
Maybe this will be in my next pack, so keep an eye on my website.

There is a horizontally moving platform already.

Klick Enities->[add new entity]->scifi/scenery/lifts->and there you will find the antigravplatform.

You have to make waypoints for the platform.
I attached a example screenshot that shows how something like that can be done.
The red stars are the waypoints.

hey could some one make a
slanted moving lift script that goes at
45 degrees
like this:

that would be cool then i could make a large elevator so it could be like a cargo lift in a big complex like building or space ship

That isn't slanted... lol...
What, movefore=1, moveup=1
But last I heard, haven't rechecked, you need an enemy to be the lift.

experments on real moving subways and trains hell if I have time this year even airplanes or spaceships like in the Quake2 engine.
