Is there any way to convert Anim8or files (.an8) to .x?

Actually you'd need to export to a standard format like geometry .dxf,.obj or .3ds from the export/save menu.

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving

Funny, my Anim8or doesn't have any export menu. And in the save dialog all you can choose is .an8...

I didn't steal it!

Did you verify that you are in Object mode first...Just a thought.

Your anim8or could been damage try to re-install it if it is not damaged... Oh dear you'll need to read a tutorial on anim8or... When you are in object mode then youl have the manys: File Edit Object Options etc...
Choose Object and then you can choose from 3 different allternatives: New Import Export and your objects name (default = object1) Now you choose Export and then export to file format .3ds

When you have file format .3ds you'll need a converter I think Net Eraser had one at the DBpro russian page for but its down at the moment I'm afraid: [href]http://http://www.dbpro.by.ru/ [/href]

Drakportalen, I know how to USE anim8or, the thing is that currently all my objects are saved in .an8 format and I want to export them to .x

So the export is on the Object menu then? Aint there for me...

Dear. If it wasn't clear enough you can't export .an8 to .x
Why? Beacause there's no convertor for it and if it would bee then it would be inputed in to the program so you can export to .x. This is the problem with anim8or it can't export to .x but it can export to .3ds but then there will be no animations. There for you'll need to convert to .3ds first and then use a .3ds to .x converter program (http://http://www.dbpro.by.ru/Downloads/conv3ds.rar) this program is included with DB classic not Dbpro. And read my post carefully I said if the Export menu isn't there for you try re-install. But I have never seen that the "Export..." is not apearing at the Object menu.
So I have made a screen shot for you to find the exporter menu cause I don't know your skills with anim8or so I will just asume like you were totally new to it. Like I said try to re-install

I actually got that it doesn't export to .X, I'm not stupid so there is no need to get rude. The thing is that my objects menu is complete empty, nothing there. I've tried reinstalling it, so I guess there is somehing wrong with the ZIP I downloaded from somewhere. I will just download it again. K?
