This was developed in response to the latest coding challenge, which was to make an asteroids style game. I just want some honest opinions about it, and any suggestions you might have that would make it better, so I can improve upon it before I turn in my final entry. Demo attached.

Improvements that could be made
a.) more bullets
b.) better controls able to use both mouse + arrow keys + w,a,s,d
c.) when the astroids get hit, seperate them into 2 pieces instead of one..., also an explosion effect
d.) add sound
e.) music?
f.) menu screen
g.) splash screen
h.) Polish the game up in every way possible
I.) I could go on but... nah

All i can say is it seems like your off to a good start with this project about 40% complete, you could easily add in a 2 player mode, power-ups new weapons different spaceships new graphics blah blah.. but i'm guessing you're going for the REALLY old style version...

a) Did you play more than the first level?

d) There's a no-media limitation on the coding challenges

nope, i never played past the first level, but i thought of one other thing for the explosion effect using no media, create a partical explosion and color each partical white, or you could use the dot command and disperse them accross the screen when an astroid is hit.

You could easily create graphics such as a small ship.., you should be able to create a bitmap within DBP and colour it in from there. You could even do a small 32 x 32... hint hint, but thats only for the advanced users out there
