Is it just me or is Blender the most indescribably complicated piece of software ever? I've started messing about with Del.d and in comparison, it's a piece of cake.

If it doesn't work the first time, then there's always television.

like you newbie I don't have the patience for figuring out cumbersome control sets like blender.... Good luck to ya....

On a side note there have been some pretty amazing models posted around here built with blender...

Blender has one of the most intuitive interfaces ive ever seen. You just have to play around with it and do tutorials for a day or two and it will click. I've heard the main prob for people coming from other modellers is getting used to having one hand on the keyboard and the other on the mouse. Try doing the beginner tutorials on their site, you won't regret learning blender trust me. Its true deleD is much more simple, and that is because, frankly, the program itself is much more simple because it has no where near the number of features that blender has. Just look at the blender gallery for proof of its potential..

Come on guys How long have you even gave blender?It does not take brains it takes patients.What ever happened to a little learning or is your attention span just really short.Yes I will admit ittook longer than any other modeller to learn but use it for a while and everthing works very nicely! .Is it just me or is posting a message on this forum hard .(Just joking)

Im not really sure how long it takes to learn other modellers since ive only used blender, but it really didn't take me that long to get used to it.. Im pretty sure you can do it if you actually give it a chance.

Yep, DeleD does not have as many features as Blender but... we're slowly catching up and will end up with a far better and userfriendler userinterface. Designing a userinterface is harder than most people think, and we've made it one of our goals to have a UI that is easy to use while still offering powerful tools. Stay tuned, I'd say.
