OK i didnt tested it yet(HEY DONT RUN AWAY!)

but i believe our treepacks would work good if the textures werent exported by treemagic as a .jpg!

we need to convert the textures to .tga!!

it might work else:
i dont know it anymore..

Templar had told me before that we needed to convert it to .TGA but I dropped that because I knew, as Merry said, that you could use Jpg.

If so whats the issue sounds like it works

Do the trees have more then one texture file?

If so, v1 don't support more then 1 texture on anything other then a weapon.

Ok, I've tested it out, making the images into .TGA, and editing the .X file to use the new textures DOSN'T work. I've even added then to the correct directory AFTER the game was built but it makes no diference.

Why?
Because it seems that FPSC converts models AND their textures into a .DBO model file, which I believ COMBINES them into the same file.

How does FPSC know what textures to combine with the model?
Thats the problem. Because no texture is specified in the .FPE file, FPSC dosn't combine it in the .DBO file.

BUT WAIT THERES MORE!
Tremagik allows you to export files as a .DBO file. So all you need to do is after building the game, replace the old .DBO file with the new, working one.

The catch: (Yes, there is one)
This is just a theory, and may not work, so maybe later today I can test it out. The fact is, I've been VERY tired latly, and VERY busy, and I've been trying to lay low for the past few weeks. But troubles ALAWAYS seem to find you in these forums

If I get this to work, I will try to make a tuorial on how to get the trees to work AFTER you've built the EXE file.
cya all later!

Enough with the TGA crap.

Jpeg, PNG, TGA, BMP, anything that DBP supports.

I do believe SF is right with the convertions though.

Well, it disn't really matter. I can't get it to work. Templar says he/she has gotten it to work, so I'm trying to get him/her to send me a working tree for me to look at. If I get it to work for G2 then I'll maybe, if I get enough time, look at it for G1.
