Oh sorry - Lee sent it to me just before he burned his computer and said he's never coding anything again.

I was toying with it but just had to reinstall after a virus and i'm not sure I kept the files, oh well.

Lol. I'll bet that guy crapped his pants when he read your post... amusing. Wait in line for it to be released, or pay unreasonable amounts of money to get a buggy version. I'd say wait in line

i don't think like £120 is an unreasonable amount per year for a buggy version
however i've stayed outta dbdn for now, i mean its interesting - just not so much so that i feel its worth the money right now.
Perhaps if there was a larger team with more going on, like a second product then probably would in a heatbeat - but for now its fun to just bug the Team (mike being my current vicitim of the Quarter ) for updates hehee

I am very happy with DBPro. My post was meant to be in good spirits thats why I typed it light heartedly.

Just now I have achieved so much, I am VERY EXCITED about it and cant way to progress. There is more I can do otherwise but I really would like to see good my Creation would be with a faster pipeline. That is all!

Raven, there's a nice discount for DBDN if you win the competition.

lol i know exeat ... but somehow i doubt i'll actually rush my game now just to make it for the competition - i've hardly had a chance to code it in like a month and a half, probably should just consentrate on those i'm already helping out

patience people. If Lee releases a P4 that is as horrendously buggy as DBP retail I will personally throttle him - so I'd rather wait.

The architecht has now been submitted to Alan Rickman's Spam hitlist.

patch4 appears to be comming over the next few days - probably literally within the next 48hours ... atleast Rich and Mike have both hinted strongly towards this.

I could make a really offensive, patronising statement here. But I won't. Just grow up honestly TA! - There are enough immature kids on this forum without you adding to the mess.

Actually that is a thought, ban anyone under 16 with an IQ of < 110 (on a non-generous scale) from using DBP - totally unfair but it would save a few hassles.

yeah well my friends round now and he is roflHao
Note the correct grammar of this short hand statement
Rolling on floor laughing HIS ass off (third person singular)
My IQ is over 126 and I’m just 14 so don’t diss.

don't take the 3 smilys too seriously i am infact very pissed off (irony)

my IQ appears to change weekly and between countries ... somehow i don't think its a true test of character to real intelligence.

just a true test of knowlage and how fast the brain can react - personally i'd rather understand all the theories out there and be able to explain them over a 1year period rather than take them in within a day but never fully understand them.

that aside ... ya'll need to grow up a bit
i know where the patch4 beta is, but the beta IS NOT what is released - as it is slower and lagrer than the retail versions, simply because of the debug information.

pay the money or not its due out anytime now, so i don't care - i'm just gonna wait for it, if i really wanted it i could've asked any one of like 10 people who i know are using it to send it and get it ... it has even been offered, but why would i want a beta of a retail when its basically done?

My IQ varies between 117 and 135, depending on which IQ test you use - IQ tests are not directly comparable either and depend on a lot of other factors for example, David Beckham is very intelligent in a sense (in terms of co-ordination and so on), but would probably get 50 in a normal IQ test.

Anyway, I will not judge you further until I see what you can produce in DarkBASIC.

IQ surely also varies from day to day and depending on how tired you are, so people would be only allowed in forum some of the time (and have to complete an IQ test to sign in).

How would u know what beckham would get. Do you speak to him? You can never know what is inside a person looking at the outside. I tend to think intelligence is in the standards of the beholder.

This post reaks of immaturity

Anyway, I forget my IQ, but I was "identified" as being "gifted" and put into some special classes and such. Great, now I have to work HARDER to get good marks :s
If anyone saw the series premier of "Malcolm in the Middle", it really happens like that. There really are flash cards with problems in them, and I solved the same one Malcolm did and answered questions etc. The only difference is he does impossibly fast and I didn't have pain on my ass at the time... (Don't ask...)

I tend to favour the IQ tests that score me higher...

I'm confused, where did this topic turn bad? A bit of sarcasm yes, but nothign to get all up in a hussy about is it? Isnt the true test of intelligence to be able to hold two opposing points of view in your mind and still retain the ability to function? All you people bragging about being intelligent, try that. It will stop many arguments around here.

OK, that made me laugh.

As for Beckham's IQ - the Posh's take so many people to court for slandering this, saying that - Victoria even took Ipswich town to court for using the knickname 'Posh' despite them using it several decades before she was born! Thankfully that ended up a home win for Delia Smith. I'd rather not say.

What I will say is that I used to live quite close to their old home in Sawbridgeworth and have played paintball in their backgarden.

Admiteddly it was then owned by John Sosta, a firearms importer... make of that what you will.

It's all a marketing ploy - we'll all end up so frustrated to try out Patch 4 that we'll buy in to DBDN to get it!

Either that or they just want to release a patch that won't need patching!

ya know actually i think they're all arguing that they're idiots lol

who really cares who is more intelligent on a test?
i mean as i've noted before, i can grasp quantum and atmoic physics - yet i can't solve a sum in my head very quickly, and believe it or not THAT makes me stupid by the school standards (crazy no?)
Plus as a few people who've worked along with me will know i have a habit of taking something they suggest and completely outline a plan for it within seconds - so really given the right stimulation my brain can work bloody fast

but that doesn't translate well onto paper ... best thing to do is really pay no attention to it. As for Beckham, he may look and sound like a dumbass - but he's pretty far from it ... he's just so dang subservant its hard to see his true colours ever shine which is a pitty.

i'm bored now, so hopefully they'll release patch4 - god i so wanted to have that Milkshape importer/exporter for DBO format done by now.

Nikkoz,
Its lamers like the achitect that makes the software buggy, because they push the developers to release it before its done.

Its fitting condidering the nature of the arguments in this discussion that you mangaged to give us a demo of both immaturity and low IQ in one sentence.

I had no idea that the post would result in such pathetic name calling or insults. Before you go about it think thru what you are saying.

I have to say that originally my opinion was 'dont rush it!'

However we are rolling past yet another deadline and we are told it has gone into its 4th review. Now what is the problem with them releasing patch 4 now. Eh!

If it is still buggy - they can warn you and you dont have to download.
Or you could download. Back up all your hard work first. Then try it. If it doesnt work you simply reinstall dbpro if you have to.

I'm sure anyone in these forums knows the difference between P 4.4 and a later 4.5 or 4.6

And has P1, P2 and P3.1 been entirely without problems or bugs. In fact DBPro itself has countless bugs and problems, hence the patches. This has not stopped it being released.

So far I have heard about the miracles it can perform and I would finally like to get some of the improvements it boasts.

I know the real reasons it has not yet been released and it is not about bugs.

You only joined in January so perhaps you can be forgiven Mr Architect Sketch, but we've been through this before.

Time and time again the DB community has yelled endlessly to DB to give them something now despite the bugs, and when we get what we ask for what happens? We bitch and moan relentlessly about the bugs.

The feeling I get when I see the statements on the subject is a growing feeling of 'what do we have to do to keep them happy?' from DB. In short we - the users- are going to bitch and moan whatever happens, so if we are going to do it anyway they have concluded that it is better for DB that it's over a release date than over bugs.

As for the argument you have with this other guy - whatever.

I had no argument with the other guy. He resorted to name calling without thinking at all.

As for the bugs I have no quarrel with them because I know they will get sorted. I dont think it would be unreasonable to give those who want access to a patch that has been refitted 4 times.

I have actually been with the forums since October but my PC got a Overhaul and I lost the ID. I also used DBC since 2000. I know what the upgrades are about.
