Try that one, its for 3ds max but you can translate it to other apps usually.

That is a good tutorial, it helped me a lot, although its for 3DS max, you don't need 3DSmax to do it, as long as you modelling tool can do the same or similar things to what the tutorial does then you'll be fine

thats about as real as your going to get without shader. Resedent evil uses shaders. Just render teh damn model.

This one is awsome, very realistic and no shader, i think. Its actually for making a female but the basics can be translated to a man or whatever. Search around on the site to find the tutorials for the other parts of the body, i think the link is for the head only.
