How can I make an entity explode when thrown? Like a canister or something? Thanks

right click in the editor on your entity.

set the damage, and turn explosive to "ON" (forget what the property is called)

thats only if the health reaches 0... like if you shoot it or something... I want it to explode on impact like a grenade.

set the health to 1...

it should take that much damage on impact..

What i found out:

1. You have to set Strenght to 1.

2. You have to set Explodable? to Yes (like Bullshock already said).

3. If the entity explodes when thrown depends on the relation of Physics Wheight and Physics Force Damage.

The value of the Physics Force Damage should be minimum 10% of the Physics Wheight (e.g. the default Physics Wheight of the scifi/cylinderA is 1400. For that the minimum Physics Force Damage has to be 140).

But: if you set the Physics Force Damage very low then the entity will not or only with a little chance explode when it does only hit the floor (not a wall).

If you want to be sure that the entity explodes give it a high Physics Force Damage value.

Correct - thats how my landmines work. By adjusting these settings you can pick them up and throw them like grenades or just have them explode on collision.

What abt bouncing grenades? Eg. like the banana bomb in the cute-but-deadly Worms game? Does the bounce rate affect the entity`s health?
