i think hes gonne get shot in the bottom. Looks pretty good, the face texture is a little wierd and the boots are kinda non detailed but other than that and the fact that hes fighting in his underwear the model is good overall.

Edit: how many polies? and post a wireframe please several for more critique

I think what they mean is that the pants are just a little too light-colored. They could use a texture like the top. Otherwise, great work.

Ya the model is good but right now he is mooning his entire regiment.

..not a good idea to moon a group of people with automatic rifles :p

That's exactly what I thought! Great work so far, but the salmon pink legs and groin is definitely a smidge disconcerting.

Hah, after those two screens I have to say this new one is more like it. It looks pretty good, except you should do some research on anatomy and their sizes, or look at some Ref images. They just look slightly out of proportion. Also, try fitting out a nose, some indentations for the eyes. Overall, pretty good!

P.S. Milkshape, good choice

Those screens area looking good so far. You will need to sort out the texture on his chest... but promising so far... keep it up.

Looks good so far. On the legs, might want to adjust the verts about abit. Make it a little more loose, his pants look a bit starched.

Id also say you have some pretty nasty deformations going on. From the screen shots looks like there are some errors on the hands and feet. Not too bad though. Could you post some close ups?

looks like nepoleon in a camo jacket man, I think it's how the face texture doesn't blend with the cloth texture. and the helmet doesn't fit. I think you shoudl go back to the drawing board with this one.

Ok before I get flamed, I do get to say a few last words

If you always tell everyone thier stuff is good when it is infact not very good than he will never improve. Tell it like it is.

You're probably right about flames...

For someone who's spent a lot of time creating a model - it's the last thing they want to hear... Improvemnts are usually welcome, but the idea of "start again" may cause some people to give up all together... Of course, yes, some really do want to know, so they don't carry on under false pretences.

Besides, I didn't think it was that bad...

Why would he need to 'go back to the drawing board' its a good start to the model, and can be improved as the is, he'll really just need to give the legs a proper texture and the face texture should correlate to the style of the other textures and work better on the face, the model itself looks fine.

The rest of the improvement wouldn't be by 'going back to the drawing board' but through practice, as you can see from my sig, low polygon modelling is not one of my skills, but high poly is, and I admit, I find low polygon much harder than high poly, but all prospers through practice, with comments like 'go back to the drawing board' kind of brings your work and confidence down which makes it LESS likely for someone to improve, if some one said I needed to go back to the drawing board on what I though was a nifty head, I wouldda lost confidence because that head I made I felt I did pretty well on, this head I am speaking of the one that turned out to look like micheal jackson.

thanks for the reply's!Im definately going to fix those things but mainly I hope to use it in my game.I have one more favor to ask though how do I export it properly in milkshape I tried using the jt edit exporter and realized it crashes milkshape all together.Heard it was the right handed thing. So I exported it usind the direct x exporter which came up with a could not load object into dbpro I also exporter it to 3ds which also failed miserably in the same way.maybe if it works properly I will release the model to you all(for free of course) for use in your games. If someone could help me on this that would be great!
