I greatly apologize if this is in the wrong forum. I lurked throughout the many sub-forums on these boards and this looked like the right place to make my post.

Anyway, here goes...

I am in need of a 3D Modeler to take my (I'm an artist) character turnarounds (13... but 10 virtually use the same body with just different heads and attire and heights - stretched) and convert them (and hopefully rig and animate them as well) into 3D models. My brother and I have been heavily conceptualizing a PC game since last October. It's just something that we have always wanted to do... this is simply one of those childhood "want" projects and is nothing more than a hobby at this point. I am definitely a stickler for deadlines (come with the field) so if someone is interested, be prepared to tell me what I can expect.

Here's my concept Wrestling Ring pic...

... and here is one of the turnaround pics I did up. I'm looking for someone to translate exactly what I designed into 3D form. I am interested in achieving a rubber look (like those M.U.S.C.L.E. toys from the 80's but with proper colours (like black hair and coloured boots, etc.) I guess the right term would be a PVC look.

Interested parties, please e-mail me at [email protected] for more details or contact me via my profile settings (MSN, etc.)

Hmmmmm... not sure why I double posted. Looks like my edit turned into a post (as the text in the second post is slightly altered due to spelling errors.)

Anyway, I greatly appreciate the kind words Megaton Cat I see you're in Toronto - I'm actually in Kingston (not far away.)

Well, I'm sad to say that I haven't any takers so far... not even a freelancer wishing to extend his payable services into consideration. Only been a day so I gotta stay positive (or learn a darned program myself )

I concur!! Very very impressive indeed. What did you make those drawings in? (sorry to be a little off topic)

Thanks BiggAdd

I draw it all by hand and scan it in. I then ink and colour in Photoshop CS (any PS will though.) I can use Illustrator as well but I like Photoshop simply because it has other features I tend to throw into my works that Illustrator doesn't have (rendering capabilities a la' Painter, etc.)

to model, UV, texture, rig, and animate 13 models is an enormous task, even with excelent refrence pics. Do you realize that?

I discriminate against discriminating people....

Yep. I fully realize that and I'm also willing to negotiate payment (something that I went back and edited into my first post but for some reason, it's still not there.) Also, 11 of the models utilize the same body (just with different costumes and heads - so modeling will be cut down quite a bit) and all moves save for 2 - 3 unique ones per character will be the same.

Hi Marl,

I've tried to make a model for ya, here it is:

There are some poly problems, but it's not finished I suck at animating and rigging so you'll have to find someone else for that, anyway if you want the model, just ask.

Oh btw, his feet are messed up but I made them in about 5 mins, always hate to make feet

Later!
