I know this question has been asked repeatly in the forums over the years. I also know there were DLLs written complete with C++ source code for adding a printer function to DBPro. I know, because I had the DLL to do this.

My question is a little different. Is it possible to access the printer with existing Windows/DBPro conventions. What I mean is can you call an actual Windows DLL from DBPro and access the Windows printer dialog box, then pass the appropriate parameters and/or pointers to do a screen dump? Somewhat similar to accessing the Windows API with Blue GUI, but with out using a plugin.

If this is possible or not, can someone explain it either way. I am sure there are a lot of folks in the forums that would like to know.

Thanks,

I have the source for a printer plug-in on my site, but you will need to compile it yourself.

Stinky

Is that source in the "old unsupported" file?

Okay... I could use the plugin.

I am writing a program using the BlueGUI 2.0 plugin by Rob K. I know you can OPEN and SAVE files with windows dialog boxes with his plugin, but there is no way to do this for the printer. I want the user of my program to have the option of changing the print output settings (i.e. Landscape, Portrait, Size, Print Quality, ect.).

Is there a way to access printing functions at this level with your plugin? If I remember correctly, you could at least change the size. I don't know about the others I've mentioned though.
