Hi,
I was create object in MilkShape 3D.


Export to .x

In .x file i use 3 jpg files and have in code:


Quote: " Material Material02
{
[xxx]

TextureFileName
{
"ppp.jpg";
}
}

Material Material03
{
[xxx]

TextureFileName
{
"ppp1.jpg";
}
}

Material Material01

[xxx]

TextureFileName

I was copy this 3 jpg files to Files\entitybank\ppp
And why in FPS Creator i dont have Texture ?

Help, how to include it ?

you need them as .tga not as .jpg.....

also the path of texture need to be assigned in .fpe file but since there are two....

and in milkshape with these simple colors do not load textures!

just change the materials ambient etc.
then you will get right color and you can assign and no texture is needed then!(in milkshape export as .3ds then and convert with DB Convert so it will keep all properties good assigned)

TEST1 = RED
TEST2 = BLACK

(only test, i want to add my real PHOTO HQ 6mpix for models, i dont have any better texture so i create one color files )

and that program isnt that difficult.

he got tree's working already but he didnt tell the way HOW to do that...

OK, its impossible... in FPS CREATOR you can use only one texture !


Do you have idea in what program do you can paint created object and export for .TGA or .JPG ?

but paint can make textures but it needs to be adapted to the .x file then...

Bug Tracking, it dosen't work in-game because FPSC creates a .DBO file from the .x to use in-game, but it dosen't take care about the materials, it only converts the model's informations.

use ultimate unwrap 3d weld your model then unwrap and u can see where your textures should go..export the uvmap then use a paint program to create your texture file..

highlight all the uv editior screen(should go red) then select weld model ,then look at the panel on the left and look for a icon which looks like an open box...

now u need to weld the model then select unwrap faces(on the left hand side panel)

I now got the same prob but then im not using any texture file but just using colors set IN milkshape!

Having to unwrap and then paint than assign all that to the UV's is bulls*it.

You should be able to have as many textures for one object as you please. I'm on strike until this is addressed.

Well, one of the best friend of FPSC is Ultimate Unwrap3D.
The problem is, it's 60$

Use this it is free and is the old version of ultimate unwrap 3d they released it free before releasing ultimate unwrap 3d does the same job and is full version and will export.
I originally downloaded it from a link on DB forum but the download is no longer available.
