I have opened a thread about 3d renederer yet again , becouse last time , i was making so many projects and everything...

Now , i would really like to make one , becouse i actally NEED one.

What is in this case , a 3d renderer :

You choose a .3ds or .x model , optionaly a texture if you allready havent textured it (offcourse without uvw mapping support) , and you can set resolution of the render , also you can set if you want some effects like fog , lighting , etc. (a little bit like pov-ray , a sort of programmable , but NOT as complicated , it will ALL be automatical , you will only be able to use the scripting if you want to CUSTOMIZE light , camera position ,etc.).

Also, an ANIMATION feature, where you choose like starting camera postition, camera position at frame 5 for example, etc. And the animation will be rendered as series of pictures OR if i be able to make it, then i would make it so that you can get a .avi animation , and yes , another feature , you will be able to make an .EXE animation , in witch you will be able to add sounds and music.

I am wondering what do you 3d modeling folks think about the idea ?
This thread decides shell i get to work.

And price ? Offcourse , everything i make in this last 3 months is free , i made a deal with my self , eaven if i were to make a 3d studio max clone within 3 months , it would be free..

Im just curious but why make a renderer yourself if you could download the millions of free ones that exist already?

I can understand it if you are doing it to learn programming, but you said you are making it because you need it.

I think you could make a really useful renderer if it used GPU functions. I'm tired of waiting hours for stuff to render.
