in the manual, they have a list of all script actions/expressions
it says for actions "savegame" ""loadgame"

so you hit a switch...

:state=0:state=1
:state=1:activeted=1:savegame

so you can turn an object into a save point...

Yea, it was 2 planned commands but after they wrote the manual they removed it, because of time issues.

if you just wanted to save, it wouldent be that difficult,

but some of the arrays are REALLY big, so the save files would be huge.

that was the whole problem cb faced, he wanted small save files.

Tested that, did ya? lol

@Bullshock
I agree.
That's why I said scrap the idea of saving every enemies location and other stuff.
Just save the player's health and ammo and start them at the last checkpoint of that level.
That's small enough.

Edit
And also save the completed objectives.
So, each objective has a boolean, ,resulting in a small addition to the array above.

that would kill a lot of possibilities for games thought..

like think, if you had to go up to say, the living quarters to get a key, and hit a checkpoint after killing the enemies, when you went back (cause you have the key now) after loading, they would be there...

it would just be weird.

i think saving checkpoints as well as body positions or wether or not the entity is alive should be sufficient enough, but not less than that.
