ahh now thats a secret......just kiddin wat u do is export as directx format an nick a fpe file from entity folder and change it but u need 2 modify size...something i still need 2 work on they come out 2 small modify this fpe file ok! if u need more help just aask

AGE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!!

I started modelling when i was 13 and now, just over a year later, i'm texturing, animating, lighting etc.

Age is no excuse for anything!

I designed my first game aged 7
I directed my first film aged 12
I've started making an epic sci-fi war game aged 14

If you have imagination and are willing to work for it, you can do anything. Puberty is not to hidden behind! Peace out!

ahhh thats nice avenging angel.....were were just helpin each other....and we didnt say age hadnt got anything 2 do with it...and for u directing a movie............well......id sure like 2 c it..........might of been the tweenies....anyway i got the real fpe file here with correct size for desks etc

wat u do is go on milkshape 3d and choose file export....go to bottom of selection bit and it should show one sayin directx(jt) then clik it and choose settings mesh only click tick and directx retained mode then do ok and ur set......1 thing use that file i showed u and modify it like change where the texture file is to somthing like texturebank\user\pianotextures or somthing ok and same with .x file good luck!

The game i'm working on has been in pre-production for about 2 months. I'm just now starting the level design, and i'm trying to learn to model... and i'm only 12!

Young teenages always make fake companies for one, they also offer money after they sell the game.

Most of you say you started making games aged as low as 7. I dought you where programming aged 7. Its more than likely you got rpg maker and set up a badly designed (red font with a black back ground) web site for a fake company.

Ive seen things like this, all over the web. People posting in forums, asking for programmers and artists. They say that they will offer money once the game makes some.

So, in all, age does matter, because young people are inmature.

(I just felt like having a little rant)

what exactly do you need to set up a company then?

I'm gonna keep my company becuase i need a name to trade and publish things under. Tanner Productions (my "company") was set up as a movie production company, with an opening logo and everything.

I designed my first game aged 7, it was a 2d platformer called "mouse trap". Happy days....

I am old enough to be your guys father. Age does have something to do with it. Just a maturaty thing. I may be starting early but I hsve 27 years of experiances playing games to draw from. how many of you remember the commadore64 or the 128? 286 or 80-88's or hell even pentiumI. I remember when 512mb was all my hard drive would hold. And yes I remember DOS oh so well. (Please if there is a devine spirit above, make 'em bring back dos) <----a joke for the older community. I also remember the coolest thing to do on a computer was make a yellow ball bounce around the screen and when text base games were high-tech. so yeah age has somethign to do with it.

Oh I remember all that stuff Reality Forgotten, been playing games games my entire life. I remember being amazed at text based games like Zork and The Lurking Horror for C64. And how I miss the NES, what a great time for video games.

I remember the original pong, shooting the moving white dot on TV with one of the first light guns (it looked like an actual magnum). I remember my Vic 20, and playing Mario for the first time (I remember when the original GameBoy came out).

The fastest computer we had was a 486 DX Proccessor. I rememeber when Wolfenstein 3D first came out...what a game! We would stay up until the sun came up playing "River Raid" on the Atari I remember playing the King's Quest, and Quest for Glory series. My favorite game used to be the original side-scrolling Red Baron game; unfortunately 486 was about as fast as you could go with that game...and still play it

I bought the SNES twice when it came out! Once when it first hit shelves, and once more because I sold the first one (I don't remember why).

I cant remember how much they cost, but they must have been around £200 back then, just like today, with the xbox and ps.

Yeah, I think the first time I bought it, it was around $200 (US); fortunately the second purchase was cheaper. I still have the original NES Lightgun around here somewhere . Man I always wanted to shoot that dog in Duck Hunt!

Duke Nukem 3D
Age of Empire (1)

Anyway, considering that most of us try to base our games on the lastest and greatest FPS games out there, i don't think it really matters since we all have most of our influences from recent games that have pushed the boundries:
Quake4/Doom3
Call of Duty 2
Far Cry
Half-life 2

I remember the Commodore Vic-20. ( 5k memory vs. 64k )
The Commodore 64 was far more expensive, it being their latest model at the time.

The IBM PCs had 8086 and 8088 powering the latest computers. ( 286s weren't around yet much less a 386 or 486)
Nothing was automatic in those days, not even saving your work.
Everything was manual, including hardware detection.
There was no hardware detection. You had to manually configure everything.
You defined the sectors and cylinders when you installed a hard drive.
I remember having to set DIP switches to use a Monitor.
They probably don't even know what a DIP Switch is. lol

Most kids today take the Automation Process for granted.
They don't begin to realize just how much work is being done for them.
It's not their fault that they expect things to be done for them, because that's the world we've built around them.
