Look in the FPE file for the segment you want to change the sound for. Look for the section that looks like this, Its in the parts section
materialindex0 = 1
Just change the numbers for different sounds, but this also changes the material of the segment, so if it is shot it produces differnt bullet holes and chipping effects. Here is the list of numbers and effects-
0 - no sound and dots for bullet holes with no chipping particles
1 - soft footsteps, dots fot bullet holes and stone chipping particles
2 - Shuffleing footsteps, standard bulletholes, Stone chipping particles
3 - metalic footsteps, standard bulletholes, metal sparks particles
4 - wood footsteps, wood bulletholes, woodchips particles
5 - soft footsteps, dot bulletholes, no particles
6 - watery footsteps, dot bulletholes, no particles
