I just finished the options menu. It's fully working and you can now access it from the main menu. It's 01:30 here now "Carpe Nocte!" =) The shot shows the settings I play with. I got a GF2Pro 64MB and an Atchlon 1200 and with this settings the game is smooth as silk.

So I guess you want some info about this:

Screen is the resolution the game will be rendered with. TML always runs in full screen window mode so you can Alt+Tab to windows during gameplay. Due to the size of the GUI and the fact that I have no sprite scaling function in TML there are only 2 resolutions avalible: 800x600 and 1024x768.

Texture is the resolution of the matrix texture. I added this for 2 reasons. Some cards can't load too big textures and lower resolutions will run faster on slower systems. The settings are: High (128x128/tile) Mid (64x64/tile) Low (32x32/tile). The textures loaded are 1024x1024, 512x512 and 256x256.

The mouse setting is for normal or inverted as I know there are some that can't play with a normal yaxis or simply prefer it inverted.

Waves makes the water wave. However this slows down my system whenever the water is beeing rendered, not all the time. I want my game super smooth and I have seen the water wave a lot already. Some love the waves and some got a computer to handle this. This feature is for you.

Thanks =)

Did you see the main menu? It's in an older thread. The background will be randomly selected from a few high quality shots.

Are the menu options animated (ie. do they have sin wave effect) or are they static?

Anyhoo, nice screenshot - kudos to you on RGT

No, I didn't see your other post. I'll go find it.

The code there would make a great tutorial, if you ever decide to release it .....

No the wave is made in photoshop and is very static =) Would take me a lot of time figureing out a 2D wave effect.

Thank =)

Morph:
The thread name starts with "TML:"
Noting special, just hard coded clickable sprites that are changed when the mouse is over them.

This is how TML looks with textures set to low in 800x600. Not a prety sight. As you see it doesn't affect the quality of the models, that would take too long to make.

Thanks again =) You really want a demo don't you =P

I'm working on the little intro that you will see when you start a new game at the moment. Nothing fancy, just to set the story.

Here's the ingame menu. You access it by pressing esc during exploration mode. The save and load options doesn't work but I can now set the mouse to normal/inverted at any time as well as turn the water waves on and off. I also discovered that with the latest beta turning on the waves doesn't slow down the game as it did before =)

And yes, at any time during exploration mode you will be able to save and load the game. Nice isn't it =) I'm leaving the save function for last though. It will make it for the beta of the demo released to the DB community.
