We just started a new challenge in the stickie above: 'DBPro Coding Challenge'.

So, the next challenge is:

** LUNAR LANDER **

Task: Create a game based upon the original. It can be an authentic remake, or a complete reworking. You are free to choose to make yours a 2D or 3D version.

I will be looking for a little flair for this challenge, that little something extra. It might be a special effect, great thrusters, a good explosion routine, etc.

Deadline: 2 weeks from today - Monday 13th March.

If you haven't tried a coding challenge before, this might be the time to try! The challenges are fun, educational sometimes, we learn from each other and generally have an interesting week or two, challenging ourselves to write the best program we can in the time given.

I suspect everyone has a different idea about what kind of Lunar Lander game they would like to write, so visit the thread above, and get to programming!

Be sure to read the challenge rules on the first page of the challenge thread, these are all no-media challenges.

Thanks The score depends on remaining fuel, sink rate and attitude at the moment of touch-down and on the distance to the selected landing-site/target. Hope that helps.

Ah, now I know what you mean! This score is the maximum-score, means if your distance to the selected spot is 0 feet than you get the maximum score! The maximum score will be reduced by the distance.

Here's an idea - incorporate every last piece of media into the source and use a lot of write strings!
