Dont think theres a way to do decent water still.

I am still using decals or a large entity but in the latter case you cant animate the water effect as you cant have an animated texture in FPSC. You could attach a decal to a large entiy but thats defeated by the fact that all decals can be scaled to match only by the power of two.

So no really liquids are still a turn off inside games made with FPSC.

If some ones come up with a great solution I have not heard of it.

What I have is pretty good - it just depends on your definition.

You cant have anything like realistic water in FPSC - its just not possible.

I just use what I described - its water of a kind the same as anyone esle is quite capable of doing.

Nothing special - something special in terms of liquids and water in particular in this case cant be achieved in FPSC. Its just not possible to have anything like professional looking liquids in FPSC.

With enough trickery and hard work a resonable - approaching almost something acceptable result can be achieved.

At best any liquids represented in FPSC will be a poor substitite for true engine support for them and that just dont exist.

Liquids, particles and such game engine features that one no longer particularly would associate with advanced engines are not available in FPSC and the same kind of results that these systems provide game makers with where they do exist are simply not possible.

Perhaps such features will be made available by TGC to users of FPSC at some later date.

Enough said here I think.

EDIT : If you want to head over to the appropriate forum I think in my screenshots one of the rooms has some liquid in it - its blue in colour.

UMAN. I am not a modeler... but tell me, can you have an animated texture called from a .x file?

It means, that instead of relying on FPSC to run an animated texture, you rely on Direct X to run the model itself.

decals are limited... perhaps rundecal=5 will do that... but an animated texture looks SOO much better.
