Using DBPro, I have my program connect via FTP but apparently DBPro makes the window automatically maximize. This is undesireable for my program. How can I prevent this? I can have the program minimize or hide itself again, but that is not what I'm wanting. I would rather have it not maximize at all, thus preventing an annoying flicker as it performs the connection.

Thanks,
DREW

The easiest way is to write your own TCP/IP system...

I've only onced used FTP in a DB project, it was actually under classic - and it didn't suffer from maximise problems.

I suspect the reason is probably more down to your internet connection settings, whether you dial as needed, autoconnect, use a proxy etc. etc.

Perhaps releasing a BETA copy of your program and asking others to test this particular aspect might shed some answers.
