I just found this NICE site, http://www.got3d.com
It has A huge archive of free textures!
(p.s Sorry if this has been posted before)
I think you are allowed to use the in your games, wether commercial or personal, it doesnt say much about it but it says like this:

We take thousands of photographs each year for our products. Because of time or quality, most never see the light of day. We are making these textures available to help everyone. These Free Textures cannot be resold. We are doing this as a public service, so please do not abuse the system.
This texture is free to use in your projects or your personal texture library.

You may NOT sell or publish this texture in part or in full
- But i think that means the you may not sell the texture or a part of it...
Check it out!

Very nice site but would they fit with the fpsc Segments? aren't they of to high quality? Everytime I put textures from high quality on my segments they appear as white in my game

I have already made some segments with some of the "rusty metal" textures and they work fine

Needless to say, if the textures are of too high quality, use any program to scale them down to 512 x 512 (including paint)

Thanks for the tip ( can I do this in paint? )

I have a question if you don't mind :

Ah nevermind, I would ask you if the textures would work fine if I did tesame to them, textures from a site I mean, I would give you the link but the site seems to have an update, those where high quality free textures and purchasable textures available on the site, but when I used the free textures they all went white in the game, so I didn't want to risk buying nice city textures, but I could try to scale them

If you use Signs II it will automatically resize the images to 512 x 512. Signs II is a available at:
http://www.fpsconline.com
or
http://www.fps-files.net

I used signs II for it, that's why I ask, I knew it automaticaly rezise the textures on the segments, but they're still white, that's really something weird, don't know why this happens, maybe I place them in the wrong archive, I place it under segments, user ann then stonefloor map, there are about 50 different stone segments, but all come out as white and I replaced it but then I got error of something abouu illegal stuff on a line and my fpsc crashes

let's say the textures are 1024 x 1024.
If you're using paint, open up the picture. (Go to Image -> Attributes and check the size if you want) then go to Image -> Stretch/Skew and make the horizontal and vertical to 50% each. Press OK and there's your picture. Save it and use it in Signs if you want.
If you're using photoshop, use Image -> Image Size.

some pages there are more chance of getting one than others, but besides that, you can get that from almost everywhere...
